Seven major U.S. metro areas, mostly in Florida, are now buyer’s markets, including Miami, Austin, Orlando, New York, Jacksonville, Tampa, and Riverside. Nationally, the housing market is balancing with five months of supply, favoring buyers slightly. Miami leads with 9.7 months of supply. Some Midwest and Northeast metros like Milwaukee and Boston remain seller’s markets. Prices per square foot fell in all buyer’s markets.
